CIC visit the House of Lords!

Workmates Laura, Russell & Byron represented all Countryside Enterprise CIC members last Wednesday, travelling down to London on the Train and visiting the House of Lords to collect our Countryside Alliance Award!

Countryside Enterprises were named winners of the Midlands Rural Enterprise category. Whilst we were not successful in winning the national award, we all had a fantastic day and enjoyed lots of free drinks and canapes! We bumped into the Rt Hon Edward Argar MP who has visited WHM skills Centres in the past- he was very complimentary of our service and all of the enterprises we run!

After the awards ceremony we were able to do a little sightseeing including; Buckingham Palace, The Mall, Trafalgar square and Big Ben. The British Army were busy practicing for the Trooping of the Colour ceremony which was lovely to see. We enjoyed a dinner and glass of champagne before returning home.

We have put a short video on our social media page (Six Acre Nurseries and Countryside Enterprise pages) so please take a look.

Well done to all of the workmates for all of their amazing work with each enterprise and the WHM team for all of the support they provide
